DIAMOND
The diamond is certainly the most famous of all gemstones, probably the most valuable and surely featured in more stories and legends than any other. Revered by cultures ancient and modern, coveted and contested by every civilization that planet Earth has ever known. He has cemented his place in human history. Even the ancient Greeks and Egyptians considered diamonds to be the kings of precious stones. Their name derives from the Greek word “adamas” (in English: the invincible), as they were considered the hardest stone of all for a piece of eternity. Even then, diamonds were said to have magical effects and powers, which is why they were also used as talismans. However, their story was not always honorable, so Hollywood and Co. also show us the downside of the coin, the so-called cursed diamonds. Surrounded by death, murder and tragedy, these diamonds have one thing in common, they were all acquired through dubious means, theft or deceit. Preserved in an honest way, the diamond’s “invincibility” is manifested, as well as its positive influence to this day. Shaped by characteristics such as insight and the ability to learn, emotional strength, courage and determination, they also convey the urge for intellectual freedom. Because the diamond’s striving for absolute purity also has an effect on its surroundings.

Der Diamant ist sicherlich der berühmteste aller Edelsteine, wahrscheinlich der wertvollste und sicherlich in mehr Geschichten und Legenden als jeder andere enthalten. Verehrt von alten und modernen Kulturen und begehrt und umkämpft von jeder Zivilisation, die der Planet Erde je gekannt hat. Er hat seinen Platz in der Menschheitsgeschichte gefestigt. Schon bei den alten Griechen und Ägyptern galten Diamanten als Könige der Edelsteine. Ihr Name leitet sich aus dem griechischen Wort „adamas“ (zu Deutsch: der Unbezwingbare) ab, da sie als härtester Stein von allen für ein Stück Ewigkeit gehalten wurden. Bereits damals sagte man Diamanten magische Wirkungen und Kräfte nach, weshalb man sie auch als Talismane nutzte. Ihre Geschichte war jedoch nicht immer ehrenhaft, so zeigt uns Hollywood und Co. auch die Kehrseite der Medaille, der sogenannten verfluchten Diamanten. Umgeben von Tod, Mord und Tragödien haben diese Diamanten eines gemeinsam, sie wurden alle auf zweifelhafte Weise, durch Diebstahl oder Täuschung erworben. Auf ehrliche Weise erhalten, manifestiert sich die „Unbesiegbarkeit“ des Diamanten, als auch sein positiver Einfluss bis heute. Geprägt von Eigenschaften wie Einsicht und Lernfähigkeit, emotionale Stärke, Mut und Entschlossenheit vermitteln Sie vor allem auch den Drang nach geistiger Freiheit. Denn das Streben des Diamanten nach absoluter Reinheit wirkt sich auch auf seine Umgebung aus.
